“Pope Francis has praised the work of Communities Organized for Public Service (COPS) and other similar organizations affiliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) in the United States. Specifically, he met with leaders of the US Organized Communities, including representatives from IAF-West/Southwest, and COPS in San Antonio, in August 2024. During that meeting, the Pope praised their efforts to build bridges of reconciliation, inclusion, and fraternity, and to advocate for social justice, according to Vatican News. He also encouraged them to continue their work of listening to the concerns of people, especially the most vulnerable, and working together to improve their lives. The Pope highlighted that the work of organized communities like COPS embodies the Church's Social Doctrine and aims to create a ‘culture of solidarity’.  See the San Antonio people with the Pope https://www.copsmetro.com/tags/pope_francis#group-1
